The KNAW Humanities Cluster (HuC) is a collaboration between three institutes of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) in which humanities research is carried out using advanced methods, in which computer science plays an important role. These three institutes are the Huygens Institute for Dutch History, the International Institute for Social History and the Meertens Institute.
As a researcher the Humanities Cluster offers you the opportunity to gain work experience in the field of history, ethnology, literature and linguistics.
As an employee of the Business Office you provide and support the management of the HuC as a whole and the three separate institutes. The Business Office also supports the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in Humanities and Social Sciences (NIAS) and the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies (NIOD).
Within the Humanities Cluster, much attention is paid to the (personal) development of the employees. Working at the HuC means that the KNAW will employ you. The KNAW offers an attractive package of employment conditions.
